Rihanna Says Her Upcoming Album Feels ‘Real,’ ‘Soulful’ And ‘Forever’

Rihanna has her Navy on the edge of their seats waiting for her eighth album, R8. She has already given the masses a taste of what’s to come with the release of her Kanye West and Paul McCartney collab “FourFiveSeconds” in January. Rih has also teased small snippets of other tracks on the album called “Higher” and “American Oxygen,” the latter of which was used to promote March Madness.

With her new animated movie, Home hitting theaters on Mar. 27, the bad gal was recently interviewed by MTV where she not only spoke about the film, but also what’s to come from the new album and why it’s worth the wait.

“I’ve made a lot of songs that are just really, really big songs. From the jump, they just blow up. And I wanted to kind of get back to – not that they weren’t real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever.”

Being patient is hard to do with all of these overnight album releases. We can only hope Rih is done with the teasing and gives us the album soon. – Yvette Brown
