Stream The 'Catch The Throne Vol. 2' Mixtape

Last year, Game of Thrones launched their fourth season with a promotional mixtape featuring tracks from some of the show's biggest fans who represent hip-hop. With the show's fifth season premiere on the horizon (April 12 for all you Stark/Lannister fanatics), the show's producers have dropped teasers and clues, hinting at things to come. The next step? Continuing the Catch The Throne mixtape series to further drive home the point that "winter is coming".

Catch The Throne 2 features collaborations featuring a who's who of artists from Method Man, Ty Dolla $ign, Talib Kweli, Snoop Dogg, Estelle, Stalley, Melanie Fiona, hard rockers Anthrax, Mastadon and Killswitch Engage to all interpolate themes from the show into personal songs. Snoop's crafted a "Lannister's Anthem", Method Man swears by "The Oath", Kap G wants you to "Surrender" and so on and so forth.

The variety of artists and subject matter give you an idea of what the massively popular show is all about. Good thing, there aren't any spoilers to deal with. There's the energy and angst of a rock record during battle mixed in with the pain and sorrow and death, wrapped in an R&B track. Prepare for April 12th's long awaited premiere with Catch The Throne 2 here.

Cardi B And Blueface Release Music Video For “Thotiana” Remix

Cardi B is on a hot streak since taking home the Grammy Award (Feb. 10) for Best Rap Album (Invasion of Privacy). The Bronx native’s triumph at the annual showcase kept her steady on a path of musical domination since releasing her second collaboration with Bruno Mars (“Please Me”) and recently, the remix to Blueface’s “Thotiana.”

Decked out in a red bandana-print outfit, Cardi appears in the Cole Bennett-directed visual to spit a sensual verse. “Bust is, bust it, I’m a savage/ Bi**h, throw it back like a 10-year challenge/ Take him to the crib, the I push him on the sofa/ Have his breath smelling like pu**y and mimosa.”

In April 2018, Cardi B unveiled her debut album to fanfare. Since then, the mother-of-one has remained a dominant figure in the music industry and she hopes to further solidify that presence with her upcoming sophomore project. “Hopefully I can get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out,” she previously said. “I don’t know how possible that’s gonna to be because I feel like I’m gonna be extremely, extremely busy.”

Until then, watch the "Thotiana (Remix)" video above.

YNW Melly's "Murder On Mind" Number 1 On Apple Music Amid Murder Charges

YNW Melly's career may finally be taking off as his song "Murder On My Mind" has hit number one on Apple Music. However, the 19-year-old, real name Jamell Demons, won't be enjoying the fruits of his labor as a judge denied him bond after being charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

According to a tweet from  Chart Data, Melly's 2017 track has earned prime real estate on Apple Music, with some believing the song is a confessional providing clues to the murder he and Cortlen Henry are accused of. Unfortunately, the song was released prior to the double homicide.

[email protected]'s "Murder On My Mind" has reached #1 on US Apple Music.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, Demons, and Henry reportedly staged the murder of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr to appear like a drive-by shooting. Williams and Thomas were friends of Demons and lived as roommates in Broward County.

Williams and Thomas suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Demons took to Instagram and denied the accusations before turning himself over to police.

“To all my fans and supporters no I did not get locked up in Washington, but I am turning myself in today I want you guys to know I love you and appreciate every single one of y’all,” he wrote. “A couple months ago I lost my two brothers by violence and now the system want to find justice.

“Unfortunately a lot of rumors and lies are being said but no worries god is with me and my brother @ynw.bortlen and we want y’all to remember it’s a ynw Family I love you @ynwsakchaser1 and @ynwjuvy #freeus.”

Premiere: Mass Appeal's 070 Phi Teaches Smart Street Politics In 'Good Contracts' Music Video

In the Llama-directed music video for his song "Good Contracts," New Jersey rapper 070 Phi tells a harrowing street tale of violence, kidnapping and betrayal.

“The concept behind 'Good Contracts' is keeping yourself out of a vulnerable position where somebody can take advantage of you. In the video, one of the characters involved himself with a woman that he met outside and brought her to where he makes his money," 070 Phi told VIBE. "His relationship with her was like a bad contract because all she wants to do is take advantage of him and rob him for his money. Metaphorically speaking my character is a good lawyer that helps him out of his situation.”

Musically, 070 Phi uses witty autotuned rhymes to share his sense of impending doom in the face of block enemies and corrupt cops, and how he plans to keep his integrity in all scenarios. "Good Contracts" is the second visual from his EP Outside, which is available on all streaming platforms through Mass Appeal Records.

Phi's Hudson County, New Jersey-rooted 070 Collective has been making waves for the past year and change. Phi formed the crew with Shake, Ralph River, Treee Safari, Behard, Bhee, Malick, Hack, and production group The Kompetition. Since then, Phi and Shake have both have found success: Phi as a signee of Mass Appeal Records, and appearing on the label's Starting 5: Vol. 1 compilation, and Shake as a signee of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music, appearing on songs "Ghost Town" and "Violent Crimes" from West's album Ye, as well as appearing on Pusha T's Daytona and Nas' Nasir.

Fans can see 070 Phi perform on the Starting 5 tour with Mass Appeal labelmates Fashawn, Stro, Ezri, and Cantrell. See tour dates below, and RSVP for free online.
