The Department Of Justice Will Not Indict Officer Darren Wilson

The Department of Justice has announced it will not indict former officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

The news came via an 86-page memorandum that stated the 28 year-old acted in self-defense. Attorney General Eric Holder said the outcome of the investigation was “sound.”

“I concur with the investigative team’s judgment and the determination about our inability to meet the required federal standard of proof,” Holder said.

Brown, 18, was shot and killed Aug. 9. Brown’s body laid in the street for hours and his death later sparked protests around the country in conjunction with the videotaped choke hold of Eric Garner from Staten Island.
