Wale Shines Light On The Dangers Of Materialism In ‘White Shoes’

Wale taps into the natural desire to want to be fly, as well as the dangers that come from it with his latest video “White Shoes.”

The Walu-directed clip opens with a teen sweeping a barbershop to make money to purchase new kicks. After the barbershop, the lil homie heads over to a local restaurant where he continued his hustle by washing dishes in the back and taking out the trash.

Although working diligently to purchase his sneakers, the teen still endured the criticism of kids in the neighborhood as he walks by revealing the holes in his shoes.

“White Shoes” is the latest single off the MMG’s forthcoming record The Album About Nothing out March 31st, with guest spots from Usher, J.Cole and more.
