Former New England Patriots Player Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty Of First-Degree Murder
Former NFL star player, Aaron Hernandez, received a life sentence without parole on Wednesday (April 15), for the murder of Odin Lloyd on June 17, 2013, ABC states. Reports reveal that Lloyd, 27, was found in a desolate industrial yard with multiple gun shot wounds. Lloyd was reportedly dating Hernandez’s fiancee’s sister at the time.
The jury charged the ex-New England Patriot, 25, with first-degree murder, following an extensive trial period that received multiple testimonies from Hernandez’s fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, and multiple witnesses. Hernandez was also convicted of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
