Frank Ocean Granted Legal Name Change
The singer born Christopher Breaux has reportedly changed his legal name to "Frank Ocean."
As we patiently wait for the follow-up to 2012's channel ORANGE, crooner Frank Ocean has made life easier by legally changing his name.
According to TMZ, the Long Beach, California singer born Christopher Edwin Breaux has changed his government name to his stage name, Frank Ocean. A judge reportedly granted the 27-year-old's request for a legal name change in Los Angeles on Thursday (April 23).
Ocean has been pushing for the name change since he filed legal documents in March 2014 but the process was delayed due to driver's license issues.
With his name all sorted out, there should be no stopping Ocean from diving into his upcoming LP, reportedly titled Boys Don't Cry, and his magazine, both due in July.
