Michael B. Jordan Tells Jimmy Kimmel About Upcoming Roles In 'Fantastic 4' And 'Creed'
Michael B. Jordan makes his press rounds in anticipation of his monumental Marvel film, Fantastic 4.
Michael B. Jordan is preparing to heat things up in the comic world with the forthcoming Fantastic 4.
From the trailer, we see the stories of Michael B. Jordan, who stars as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Kate Mara as Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), Miles Teller as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm (The Thing) as they travel to an unknown universe and come back with superpowers.
This is also a huge moment for Marvel, creators of the Fantastic 4, because the character originally portrayed in the film was intended to be white. While Johnny Storm [Michael B. Jordan] and Sue Storm [Kate Mara] may have raised questions for viewers, Jordan urged people not to focus on that during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“It’s kind of self-explanatory," he said of playing a black Human Torch. "It’s one of the things where I don’t like drawing attention to the ignorance sometimes. You gotta let it be what it is.”
However, he does shift our attention to something we should pay attention to. In preparations for the Rocky-spinoff, Creed, Michael B. Jordan has been getting boxing lessons from with Sylvester Stallone, fighting real fighters, taking some punches, and chasing a few chickens.
Fantastic 4 will hit the theaters Aug. 7. Watch his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and the full trailer up top and below.
