It's Official, Balmain x H&M is Set To Drop November 5th

Dropping on November 5th, the collection will include a range of womenswear, menswear, accessories and shoes. 

Beyond Kanye West's Billboard Awards performance that would of had a pyromaniac foaming at the mouth, and the premiere of Taylor Swift's the highly-anticipated video for "Bad Blood," the annual award show brought exciting news than most expected before the show even began .

The always-snatched Creative Director and designer of popular, high-fashion brand Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, hit the red carpet with his beloved Balmain army. Standing at 5' 10" and 5' 11", Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn strutted down the carpet clad in the brand's upcoming collaboration with mass retailer H&M. Yes, you heard us right. Balmain at insanely cheap prices but don't expect to walk away with anything of luxe quality – you know how these H&M collabs go. Dropping on November 5th, the collection will include a range of womenswear, menswear, accessories and shoes.

Rousteing dished on the forthcoming collaboration telling Style.com: “H&M approached the house. But it’s always been a dream to do it. When you do a collaboration with H&M, it’s a big step in the fashion industry. It’s a big achievement, professionally and also personally. Professionally, you build a world and they want to be part of it. They want to be part of the Balmain army, which is amazing. Personally, it’s an amazing challenge as a designer to make a collection for the street market and for the entire world. When you work for a superluxury brand, you don’t have so many stores, your vision isn’t the entire world. With H&M, you know you’re part of the world, you touch all the continents. I’ve always been loud about being about diversity and the world. So it’s perfect.”

Rihanna Apologizes To Muslims For Using Song With Islamic Hadith In Savage x Fenty Show

Last week’s Savage x Fenty Vol. 2 event had people talking for more than a few reasons. The show was mostly praised for the overall creative direction, celebrity cameos and performances, but the use of the song “Doom” (by London producer Coucou Chloe) caught backlash for its sample of a recitation of an Islamic Hadith, which is sacred to Muslims.

Once aware of the mishap, Rihanna promptly apologized and thanked the Muslim community for “pointing out a huge oversight that was unintentionally offensive,” she wrote in a message posted to her Instagram Story on Tuesday (Oct. 6). “I would more importantly like to apologize to you for this honest, yet careless mistake.”

She continued, “We understand that we have hurt many of our Muslim brothers and sisters, and I’m incredibly disheartened by this! I do not play with any kind of disrespect toward God or any religion and the use of the song in our project was completely irresponsible! Moving forward we will make sure nothing like this ever happens again. Thank you for your forgiveness and understanding.”

Savage x Fenty Vol. 2 was the latest fashion installment in Rih’s growing empire. The show is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Rihanna is gearing up for a major fashion moment! The beauty and fashion mogul announced her Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 2 on Thursday (Sept. 17), which is set to stream on Amazon Prime next month.

The unique fashion experience will showcase a combination of models, actors and dancers, and features performances from Travis Scott, Ella Mai, Bad Bunny, Miguel, Mustard and Roddy Rich.

Raekwon x Sprayground Collab To Celebrate "Only Built For Cuban Links..." 25th Anniversary

Wu-Tang Clan's style barbarian, Raekwon The Chef and top-selling backpack company Sprayground, have come together to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the legendary rhyme reciter's classic debut album, Only Built For Cuban Links... To purchase the hot ticket item, retailed at $100, hit up sprayground.com at 3 pm today (July 23).

Released on August 1, 1995, the full-album, which also heavily featured Rae's Wu-Tang group member Ghostface Killah, was deemed an instant classic in the world of Hip-Hop and beyond. The intricate slang, 5% Nation knowledge, fly style indicators, and street politics were coveted content during the mid-'90s where rhymes were valued at high-stakes.

Setting that high of a mark for beats and rhymes went hand-in-hand with the packaging of the Loud Records release, as the cassette tape was of a purple tint, rarely used in those times. It became the color of note when anyone referenced the album outside of its title and rechristened it universally as "The Purple Tape."

Sprayground is honoring that design history with a special limited-edition backpack in the purple hue today that boasts lyrics on the outside, a 17-inch laptop compartment on the inside, and a slew of compartments for wires and accessories.
