Rest In Peace: The Best of Chinx’s ‘Cocaine Riot’ Mixtapes

Features

At just 31-years-old Chinx was taken from us in the physical form. But as his Coke Boy family continues to uplift his legacy and career, hip-hop fans know that his music will live on for eternity.

Since 2011, the Far Rockaway-raised rapper released a Cocaine Riot mixtape each year following to much fanfare. It was a slow but steady grind for the rapper/husband/father — however 2015 was shaping up to finally break him from the underground to the mainstream. With the help and musical guidance of French Montana (and Max B & Stack Bundles before him), the New York native had finally come into his own with an arsenal of flows and the ability to deliver melody-laden hooks.

Although, his life on earth was cut short before Chinx could fully see his career as an artist meet its full potential, VIBE won’t be putting his music on pause anytime soon.

We rounded up the best songs from all of Chinx’s Cocaine Riot mixtapes in his honor. Rest In Peace.
