Donald Trump Is Running For President (F’real This Time)

Donald Trump is coming for Barack’s throne.

Apparently, Trump is very serious (this time) about running for the Commander-in-Chief post on behalf of the Republicans in 2016. On Tuesday (June 16), he formally announced his presidential bid at Trump Tower in New York City. He also took to Twitter, specifically Periscope, to share the news:

“Our country is in serious trouble,” he said. “We don’t have victories any more. … When was the last time anybody saw us beating, let’s say, China in a trade deal? They kill us. I beat China all the time. All the time.”

But Trump’s recent decision to campaign has been unwelcomed by some. Nonpartisan Rothenberg & Gonzales Political Report editor, Nathan Gonzales, told USA Today that Trump’s political stunt is just a distraction from the Republican party.

“It’s a big headache for the Republican Party,” Gonzales said. “Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee for president. Any time that he consumes on the debate stage and in the media is time he’s taking away from a legitimate contender.”

Trump has been very vocal about President Obama’s reign in the past and recently took to Twitter (June 15) to fire shots at Republican contender Jeb Bush.
