In Addition To A New Tour, Janet Jackson Will Release An Album This Fall
Good news keeps rolling in for Janet Jackson fans. In addition to announcing a new world tour, the highly-decorated singer will bless our ears with fresh music this fall.
Seven years later following the release of Discipline, the "Rock With U" artist revealed that the unnamed project will be distributed through her record label Rhythm Nation, in partnership with BMG. There's no set drop date as of yet, but we're sure it'll be worth the wait.
"Thank you to the talented team at BMG, my new artistic home," she said in a press release. "The opportunity to be creative in music and every form of entertainment has great potential here."
In talks with her deal with BMG, the entity also stated this relationship solidifies Jackson as "the biggest worldwide superstar yet to quit the traditional record label system for a so-called artist services deal, designed to put artists in the driving seat. Unlike a traditional record deal, under an artist services deal the artist retains ownership of their recordings and full oversight of all costs and revenues."
Earlier this month, Jackson dropped the details that she's headed on a global trek, possibly performing the new album's cuts and the ones we love to perform at karaoke.
