Akon Announces Atlanta’s First-Ever Passport Experience Festival
ATL is receiving a festival treat this summer.
The city known for its array of musical talent will see an influx of national to international artists flood its Centennial Olympic Park for the first-ever Passport Experience Festival.
Created by singer/producer Akon, the concert is set to feature Gyptian, Ying Yang Twins, one-third of Major Lazer, Walshy Fire, and a DJ set from Bryan-Michael Cox.
Proceeds of the ticket sales will also benefit the Akon Lighting Africa foundation, which launched earlier this year. The nonprofit’s mission is to provide electricity to certain homes in 25 countries in Africa by 2016.
Potential concertgoers can purchase tickets at PXPFest.com ahead of the July 19 event.
