Black Eyed Peas And Nas Release Animated Music Video For "BACK 2 HIPHOP"

On Monday (Dec. 17), the Black Eyed Peas released their music video for the '90s- throwback- influenced record "BACK 2 HIPHOP" featuring Nas, off their latest album Masters of the Sun Vol. 1.

The cinematic-like, five-minute visual features each member of the 'Peas with their own scene, where  they spit bar after bar. The colorful video is part-animated and part live-action, and incorporates inspiration from of the golden age of hip-hop as Ancient Egypt meets the Sci-Fi genre.

All three members wear red and black through the first part of the video, while Nas appears as the Great Sphinx of Giza, reminiscent of the look fans may recall from the cover of his album I Am. A young woman lip-syncs the song's hook, which samples Soul II Soul's 1989 classic hit "Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)."

While Pasha Shapiro directed the video, will.i.am reportedly came up with the concept. The hip-hop group was ecstatic to be able to work with the legendary Queens rapper, revealing, "It was 'iLLMatic,' such an honor to rock with NAS. He is such a huge inspiration to our crew!"

Bad Bunny Addresses Domestic Violence In New "Solo De Mi" Video

Bad Bunny is finishing 2018 as one of the biggest breakout stars in Latin music, and he's using his platform to stand up against an important topic. He's bringing awareness to domestic violence in his new music video for "Solo De Mi."

"Solo De Mi," which translates to "Just of Me" in English, was released as a single on Friday (Dec. 14). The video that premiered on YouTube a day later, has since racked up 5.1 million views and is currently trending on the channel at No. 10. The visual piece evokes emotions as most of the reel depicts a young woman nervously singing in front of a microphone with a battered face.

Towards the end of the video, the tempo switches and the broken woman becomes stronger as the camera pans to Bad Bunny and his entourage partying the night away while the Puerto Rican rapper spits bars in Spanish.

The Latin trap artist shared a clip of the video on Instagram with this caption:

"I'm not sure if cockfighting is abuse, but gender violence against women and the absurd amount of women who are murdered a month IS. When are we going to prioritize what really matters ??! We always want to blame everyone but the one at fault. IT'S TIME TO TAKE ACTION NOW! I know there will be many opinions, but I just tell them that something starts, and everyone does their part as they think they can. WE DO NOT WANT ONE MORE DEATH! Respect the woman, respect the man, respect the neighbor, respect life! LESS VIOLENCE, MORE PERISH! (AND IF SHE WANTS IT, IF IT DOES NOT LET HER SAVE ONLY AND DO NOT KILL IT) 🖤 [LINK IN MY BIO]"

Although the trap-influenced record has yet to debut on the charts, the 24-year-old artist continues to ride high off the success of his current singles, "MIA" and "I Like It," which are currently sitting at No. 2 and No. 42 on the Hot Latin Songs and Hot 100, respectively.

MENOS VIOLENCIA, MAS PERREO! (Y SI ELLA LO QUIERE, SI NO DÉJALA QUE PERREE SOLA Y NO LA JODAS)🖤 [LINK EN MI BIO]

T.I. Releases Short Film For "The Amazing Mr. F**k Up"

T.I. keeps himself accountable for his wrongdoings in the cinematic visual for "The Amazing Mr. F**k Up."

Premiered Monday (Dec. 10) on his series T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle, the track featuring singer-songwriter Victoria Monet, is flipped into a 10-minute-short film. Directed by Mike Ho, the short film stars comedienne Britney Elena, Colombus Short, Woody McClain and model Denise Rodriguez.

Starting at a fancy dinner gathering among friends, things take a turn for the worst when the rapper's other partner invades the feast. On the Dime Trap cut, T.I. calls out himself for his past mistakes and deviances with acknowledgment on how he needs to do better.

"It's amazing all the sh*t I done / Such examples I've been setting for my son / All she did was stay down and have my kid / All the time just to realize I ain't sh*t," T.I. spits. In addition to the rapper flexing his acting chops, the album version of the song includes the infamous scene in ATL between Tip and Lauren London, where his character snatches a necklace he gifted for New New.

The rapper is currently closing out the year on an impressive note as it was revealed that his music has been streamed 276 million times on the music streaming service Spotify. "A modest flex to end my 18th year in this sh*t!!!! Multitudes of Gratitude!!! #NextYearWeGoBigger!!!!," the Grand Hustle emcee tweeted on Saturday (Dec. 8).
