Busta Rhymes Reportedly Arrested For Assault Following Steel Gym Incident


Busta Rhymes landed in hot water with the law this week. TMZ reports the Brooklyn native allegedly chucked a protein beverage at another attendee at the Steel Gym in New York City (Aug. 5).

Given Busta’s reaction following his argument with the victim, he was charged with second degree assault and arrested on location. In a statement issued by the “We Made It” rapper’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, the incident “is another attempt to take advantage of Busta’s celebrity status.”

He wasn’t behind bars for long though, taking to his Instagram account to reassure family, friends, and fans that all is good. “Thanks to everyone who helped expedite this evening for me. I’m good and we’re back to the grind,” he wrote. “Heading 2 the studio 2 turn the bullshit into GREATNESS. I’m super good. #THECONGLOMERATE.”
