Jidenna & G-Eazy Perform At Billboard’s Lollapalooza Music Lounge After-Party
If Chicago’s Lollapalooza weekend were the embodiment of a song lyric, it would be actualized in the R. Kelly “Fiesta” line, “After the show, it’s the after party,” spoken firmly by the one and only Jay Z.
After the likes of SZA, Paul McCartney and Young Thug hit the Samsung and BMI stages respectfully, the live-music packed day continued into the late hours at Chicago’s newly renovated Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel (July 31). Inside, BMF Media Group celebrated 10 years of the annual music festival by hosting their VIP Music Lounge 10 years after-party presented by Renaissance Hotels and powered by Billboard. As attendees slowly trickled in, a high-energy DJ set by HXLT (formally known as Hollywood Holt) set the tone for the crowd-favorite performances of Jidenna and G-Eazy.
Decked out in a blue, three-piece suit accented with a flawlessly coordinated African print pocket square, the “Classic Man” and lead #Jeneral entertained the crowd with jams like his Janelle Monae collaboration, “Yoga” and his solo track like “Long Live The Chief.”
After his body-moving set, the Bay Area’s G-Eazy took to the stage next, decked in a black-and-white varsity jacket with an entourage in tow. With his hair slicked back, the “Been On” rapper rocked the house and treated party goers to a short pre-show of his Saturday set at the annual Lollapalooza.
