NYPD Officer Does The Whip And Nae-Nae At Brooklyn Block Party
At a time when relations between police officers and communities are under major scrutiny, moments like this remind you that there are still good people.
Last week (July 26), a video was shared on YouTube of an NYPD officer doing the “Whip/Nae-Nae” at a block party in Bedford-Stuyvesant Brooklyn, and he actually put forth a commendable version of the popular dance. While on duty in the neighborhood, Officer James Ferrazzo of the 79th Precinct joined in on the fun with a group of kids as onlookers caught the footage. Daiyana Gordon, the user who shared the video, told the New York Daily News that the moment was important during these times, when police brutality is running rampant.
"It was a great way of him showing the kids and the community that he is a regular person especially with all the negative publicity police officers have been getting," she said.
Since being shared, the video has garnered over 100,000 views. Gordon commented on the post that another officer was also present during their dance session: “My Block is HOT!. It's always good to see Police Officers in the community just being regular people. This was awesome! And the two officers that day @ the Block party where the coolest.”
