50 Cent Is Being Sued Over The Concept Of "Power"
50 Cent has another lawsuit heading his way. The Queens native is being sued by a former affiliate, Larry Johnson, who states he penned a manuscript that reads similar to the premise of Power.
According to TMZ, Johnson's "Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid" was given to Nikki Turner, an employee at Fifty's G-Unit Books. The title was published, but Johnson claims Nikki shared the manuscript with the "Many Men" rapper, who then allegedly turned his book into Power. Johnson also states he used the pen name "Ghost" within the publication, who also owns a booming nightclub, and described the main character's close friend as someone with a hot temper, reminiscent of Tommy Egan in the Starz hit program.
The mogul is being sued for $200 million, and has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
