August Alsina Responds To Fan Groping Incident: “Try Again”

R&B singer August Alsina has responded to fans who blasted his onstage grope of a female fan. The “I Luv This” crooner performed in Baton Rouge on Sept. 25 when he pulled a young woman from the crowd and began singing to her. Quickly after, and seemingly to the young woman’s surprise, Alsina began rubbing his hands on her breasts.

Since the video’s release, fans have launched a series of verbal attacks against the Louisiana-bred singer and called him a “rapist,” “disgusting,” and “sick” amongst a host of other less-than-positive terms.

Alsina took to Twitter to blast critics and the blogs who recycled the story. The singer also retweeted a screenshot of the young woman’s Instagram post in which she boasted about her onstage moment with him. In the post, the young woman wrote, “Last night don’t owe me anything” before attaching a collection of happy-faced emojis.

Fans of Alsina quickly shared the image likely to negate the claims of sexual harassment that some say took place. Some Alsina supporters wrote, “Yeah, tell ‘em baby,” while others encouraged the “Hold You Down” singer to “Keep doing you.”
