Chris Brown Takes Aim At TMZ: “Find Another Person To Drag Through The Mud”
Chris Brown and TMZ have never really gotten along, but the singer is being more vocal about his grievances with the site these days. After TMZ published a story regarding an alleged breach of contract by Brown for failing to attend a gay pride event, Breezy took to Instagram to blast the site and its founder Harvey Levin. Maintaining that he was never booked for the event, Brown urged Levin to be a positive outlet for young members of the LGBT community instead of accusing him of homophobia.
“It would really be a blessing if u focused on real issues,” Brown wrote on Instagram. “But all these false stories to bring your site traffic is corny. But find another person to drag through the mud of lies. I know I'm talented but I'm not running for president any time soon so fall back wit all the nonsense.”
According to TMZ, Brown was booked to perform on Sept. 7 for an Black Gay Pride event in Atlanta, for which he failed to show. The site reported that the details were not properly relayed to Brown, and that he settled with the venue for $12,500. Brown says he was never booked and that the story is false.
