Chris Brown’s Daughter Royalty Will Now Have Her Father’s Last Name

News

Amid the slew of issues Chris Brown has faced lately, he is still coming out on top. Reports have recently surfaced stating that his daughter, Royalty, will legally now have his last name, sans a middle name.

This presents a huge win for Breezy considering all the legal drama that ensued this summer, due to Royalty’s mother, Nia Guzman filing for full custody of her in a Houston court. Though, a subsequent court order gave each parent shared custody, and allowed Chris to spend 12 days a month with her without supervision. And according to TMZ, the details of the settlement demand Brown to pay Guzman $2,500 a month in addition to childcare, medical bills and school expenses; with $15,000 in back support.

Despite the obstacles he’s faced, it seems Brown is staying positive. In a recent post on Instagram, the singer noted his new knack for self control and his aim to allow it to help thrust him into legendary status

“I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to turn dream into reality,” he wrote. “A lot of mistakes along the way but I working everyday to better myself. Focusing and not giving into temptation has been difficult but the level of self control I’m gaining is shaping me into becoming legendary. One obstacle at a time.”

Now, all we’re waiting for is Chris’s new album titled Royalty to drop.
