Jay Rock Travels From Watts To The Studio In New “90059” Documentary
Fans of Jay Rock are some of hip-hop’s most loyal and patient, and after a bumpy start in the music industry, the 29-year-old is ready to reward his fans with his highly-anticipated project 90059.
The album, which borrows its name from the zip code Rock grew up in, will be released Friday, (September 11) and to hold fans over the “Money Trees Deuces” artist teamed up with APlus Filmz for a five minute documentary which gives fans a brief look into his life and the making of his album.
Filmed in LA and New York, Rock is seen in the studio with fellow TDE rap brethren Ab-Soul, as well as his New York and LA listening sessions in which he explains his upbringing and his come up in the record industry.
“Everyday you wake up, you have a new opportunity, so don’t miss your shot,” Rock explains.
