Mathew Knowles Is “Extremely Hopeful” For A Destiny’s Child Reunion
Mathew Knowles is really, really, trying to make this happen.
Mathew Knowles is trying to entice Destiny's Child fans everywhere as he announced that the possibility of a DC-3 reunion is real. Beyoncé's father and former manager recently admitted to the Huffington Post that the trio, who disbanded in 2006, may come back together to explore varied musical ventures.
"I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour,” said Knowles. Though it is unclear if the singers are just as hopeful, Knowles (who claims current professional involvement with his daughter Beyonce as well as Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams [on first mention, indicate first and last names]) has his own Destiny's Child-related projects in the works. "I still manage the ladies, and I’m hopeful that within the next two to three years we’ll see something major come from it.”
Among those projects Knowles hopes for is a Destiny's Child-inspired television series and/or film, and a biography about the girl group, who went on to sell 60 million records. "My second book will be the autobiography of Destiny’s Child,” says Knowles. “I’m talking to the film and TV community right now, regarding a Destiny’s Child movie or TV series of some sort."
Mathew Knowles was fired as Beyoncé's manager in 2011. Of the "mutual" split, the songstress said, "I've only parted ways with my father on a business level." Since, Knowles has battled child support payments from the mothers of his youngest children, Koi and Nixon Knowles.
