Pharrell Confirms A New N.E.R.D Album Is In The Works

Music News

N.E.R.D. is making a comeback. In a Q&A-style Twitter session held last night (Sep. 22) with Pharrell from iHeartRadio’s Twitter account, the Virginia-bred producer told fans there is a new N.E.R.D album on the horizon. During the tweet-chat, a fan asked the singer: “Are you going to make another N.E.R.D album?” To which he replied, “OF COURSE!”

This isn’t the first time however, Pharrell has hinted a new album. Last year, during his headlining set at iTunes Festival at London’s Roundhouse back in September—N.E.R.D. band mate, Shay Haley, joined him onstage.

“It feels good to be back in London. When we released our first album back in 2001 and first crossed the Atlantic, this was the first place to embrace us. You’re gonna like this shit we’re gonna release…,” Haley told the crowd. Then, afterwards, Pharrell added: “There will always be an N.E.R.D…I’m happy to be a nerd; the bullies lost, the nerds win.”

This new album will be the band’s newest effort since the 2010 release of their “Nothing” record. Are you excited for N.E.R.D.’S upcoming album?
