Stephen Curry Proves His 2009 Draft Report Wrong In ‘Coach Up’ Commercial


In Stephen Curry’s latest commercial for “Coach Up,”  he’s defying all the odds that were once against him. Before becoming the main man behind Drake’s “0 to 100’” line of being “Steph Curry with the shot,” the Golden State Warrior was an under-the-radar point guard, that much wasn’t expected from coming out of high school. Now a NBA Championship later, the reigning Most Valuable Player of the league is getting his shot at proving all the doubters wrong.

Flashing back to the negative analysis he faced in a 2009 draft report, Curry reiterates naysayers’ criticism including numerous facets of his game from his leadership abilities, athleticism, and even his ball handling skills. From “He will have limited success at the next level” to “Do not rely on him to run your team,” it’s clear who now gets the last laugh after years of being overlooked and undervalued on his journey to the NBA.
