In Young Thug's Mind, Lil Wayne Wants To Be Him...Yep, That's What He Said
Yeah...we can't make sense of it either.
Hate him, love him or not sure what to make of him, Young Thug simply can't be ignored. As hip-hop's resident "weirdo" the "Good Times" artist has made a name for himself more so for his eccentric fashion choices as well as his beef with his lyrical hero Lil Wayne. Yet during a candid GQ interview, the Atlanta artist gave a unique perspective on what he thinks Weezy really wants.
"I feel like if he had the chance to be himself or me, he’d be me. If I had the chance to be myself or him, I’d be him. That man is the greatest," Thug said. "If we had the biggest problem in the world, I’d still say he’s the best rapper in the f--king world. Everybody knows nobody raps better than the f--king boss."
Thug came clean and said while he's disappointed Wayne doesn't want to work with him, it hasn't stopped his progress.
"Of course it bothers me some, because that’s what I always wanted. It was so weird: I always wanted to be in the studio with Wayne. I would tell Birdman to bring him over, but he never f--king came."
The interview switched gears when Thug went in depth about wearing women's clothes which began when he was just a pre-teen.
"When I was 12 or some shit, I started gambling, getting my own money. My dad wouldn’t buy me tight pants. I had to get my own money to buy them...women’s clothes are [slimmer] than men’s clothes. The jeans I got on right now, they’re women’s jeans. But they fit how they’re supposed to fit. Like a rock star. The only thing I probably have in men’s is, like, briefs. T-shirts. Ninety percent of my clothes are women’s."
Hey, at least he's honest.
