ABC Responds To The Petition To Remove Raven-Symone From "The View"
The ABC producers love Raven Symone, despite all the controvery she may cause.
Raven Symone merits the ire of the Internet almost daily with what some deem to be her racially aloof comments on the daytime talk show The View. Yet despite a Change.org petition calling for the removal of the Cosby child star, ABC producers are standing behind her.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, producers of the Emmy-award winning show said despite all of Symone's controversy, she isn't going anywhere.
"We love Raven. She is confident, genuine and opinionated, all qualities that make her a great addition to the panel."
The petition, which was started by Che Scott-Heron from the UK, has received more than 119,000 signatures and accuses Symone, 29, of being a poor representative of the African-American community.
African Americans and black people around the diaspora need a voice representative of their views and not a voice representative of what white people want us to say.
Looks like Raven Symone is keeping her day job.
