Aisha Tyler Calls Vivica A. Fox’s Comments About 50 Cent “Cruel And Low”
Aisha Tyler discusses Vivica A. Fox's comments about 50 Cent on 'The Talk.'
Vivica A. Fox sent the Internet in a frenzy on Sunday night (Nov. 8) during her appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. During a host with host Andy Cohen about 50 Cent’s comment about FOX series Empire having too much “gay stuff,” the actress – who is also the rapper’s ex – insinuated that the rapper himself was gay. And one person did not take kindly to Fox’s jab: Aisha Tyler.
After calling Fox’s red tresses on the Bravo show a “swap meat” ‘do, the comedian/The Talk host expressed her discontent with Fox during the latest episode of her daytime talk show.
“It shouldn’t matter. It doesn’t matter, but if he was gay and was struggling with his sexuality, the last person that should come and rip him in public is someone who he was in a relationship with. That was so cruel and low and I just feel you shouldn’t kiss and tell if you’re a dude or if you’re a woman,” Tyler said.
50 Cent has since unleashed a social media onslaught against Fox, claiming to have engaged in some rather lewd sexual acts with the actress. After implicating Soulja Boy in the matter by referencing his 2012 XXL cover with 50, Fox apologized to the Atlanta rapper. Tyler went on to discuss how the prospect of 50 Cent coming out could be beneficial.
“I think it would be cool if he came out because he’s at the top of the rap game,” she said. “And for him to say, ‘Hey if you guys are buying my records, and all you homophobes out there, get your lives straight.’ Because it doesn’t matter if you’re gay or straight, it just matters if you have talent.”
