Charlie Sheen will announce that he has HIV on 'Today,' according to reports.
The "revealing personal announcement" that Charlie Sheen is set to make on The Today Show is that he is HIV-positive, according to People. The actor is set to have a live sit-down with Matt Lauer on Tuesday (Nov. 15), where he will disclose his status, according a top crisis manager in Hollywood, Howard Bragman.

Bragman said that he was approached by Sheen’s team six months ago to handle the matter. He noted that Sheen is currently getting treatment for the autoimmune disease, and that several people in his family are aware of his status. Though he hopes the revelation will be a “teachable” moment for the masses, Bragman expressed a worry for legal implications after this very public disclosure.
"The interview could open up a lot of sympathy for him, but he has to be concerned about a fear of litigation from former sexual partners. You don't take that lightly."
Sheen’s former publicist Jeff Ballard revealed that he and the actor have severed their relationship after a disagreement: "We had a disagreement how to handle a situation and we parted ways. We have had a 35-year friendship and I love him. I wish him nothing but the best."
