Coldplay Enlists Beyonce For Their Plush New Single “Hymn For The Weekend”

Coldplay and Beyonce let their musical powers combine and yeah, it’s pretty great.

The shoulder-sway worthy song premiered Monday (November 30) on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show and is littered with frontman Chris Martin’s trademark bouncy piano chords as he sings of an exuberant loyal love.

Beyonce, which according to bass guitarist Guy Berryman, was in and out of the studio only taking five minutes to record, adds another textured layer to the already soothing single.

A Head Full of Dreams features guest appearances from Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow as well as President Barack Obama and is slated to hit iTunes December 4, which is coincidentally Jay Z’s birthday.
