Floyd Mayweather’s Reaction To Ronda Rousey’s Loss Is (Probably) Not What You Expected
Here's what Floyd Mayweather really had to say about Ronda Rousey's loss.
Ronda Rousey has been the talk of the Internet since taking her winning streak-ending loss to Holly Holm on Saturday (Nov. 14). And as the Internet continues to make the UFC fighter a trending topic with memes and such, it was also on high alert for Floyd Mayweather’s thoughts on the matter. In an interview with MLive, the now-retired undefeated boxing champ actually didn’t use the opportunity to bash Rousey.
"Just in boxing period, contact sports period, you win some, you lose some," Mayweather said on Sunday (Nov. 15) at Staples Center during the Lakers-Pistons game. "I don't know about this fight, I just know that you win some and you lose some. It basically comes with the territory."
Let 50 Cent tell it, however, Mayweather had some thoughts on Rousey’s loss that were a little less compassionate. Posting one of the many memes made from Rousey’s bloodied face, the rapper claimed he was doing Mayweather’s “dirty work.” The boxer has remained mum on his own social media accounts, however. Rousey took to Instagram to thank her fans for the support.
I just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I’m fine. As I had mentioned before, I’m going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back,” she wrote.
