Man Behind Death of Adrian Peterson’s Son Sentenced To Life In Prison

Justice has been served in favor of Minnesota Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson, in memory of the young life that was lost in his 2-year old son, Tyrese Robert Ruffin, who was murdered at the hands of a man by the name of Joseph Patterson. The 2013 incident occurred when an autopsy report revealed that Ruffin suffered from a total of four blows that in no way could have been the result of an accident.

The fatal injuries came in the midst of Patterson being romantically involved with Ruffin’s mother while visitation arrangements were being worked out between her and one of the NFL’s most high profile running backs, Peterson.

Once Peterson got wind of the unfortunate news of his son being placed under medical attention, he was able to see him a day right before his death. Patterson will spend his life in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder in September, which eventually led up to his official sentencing on Thursday (Nov. 19).
