Tinashe Performs "Player" On 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'

The R&B songstress sang and danced her heart out during a performance of her single "Player."

Tinashe is prepping us for her forthcoming sophomore album Joyride by appearing in magazines like Playboy to displaying her vocals on talk shows, like she did last night (Nov. 16) on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

The 22-year-old songbird let her talent shine with a performance of her Chris Brown-featured single "Player," in which she strutted around the stage and performed heaps of choreography while sporting some sweats from Yeezy Season 1 and a sheer black leotard. The audience was loving it and Fallon was awestruck, shouting "oh my God!" after her performance concluded.

On the direction of her forthcoming album, the "Cold Sweat" singer said she's sticking true to herself. "I think it's also important for me to maintain my authenticity, and I think my fans are going to hope to see that I've recorded some songs in my home bedroom [as had been done for Aquarius]," she said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "I made a genuine effort to record certain songs and create material in my room. It was definitely different to [juggle] a touring schedule and a creative schedule, but it's something that I definitely had to just work through and work on and push myself to work even harder and be even more focused."

Check out her commanding performance below.

It's Happening: Rihanna Confirms 'R9' Will Be A Reggae Album

Last year, sources close to singer and business mogul Rihanna told Rolling Stone that her ninth studio-album would pay homage to her Caribbean roots. In an interview with T Magazine, the news appears to have been confirmed by the Bajan beauty herself.

Rihanna hinted that the project– which she joked may actually be called R9 thanks to her Navy– will indeed be a Reggae/Dancehall album.

“I’m about to call it that probably, ’cause they have haunted me with this ‘R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?'” she laughed. “How will I accept another name after that’s been burned into my skull?” Elsewhere in the conversation about new music, Rihanna stated that Drake will not be a featured artist on the LP and that she is open to working with Lady Gaga in the future.

Last year, an anonymous producer stated that Rih’s team had “500 records” for R9 “[From] different producers and writers.” Despite the massive number of tracks to choose from, they were able to narrow it down to the lowest double-digit.

“They’re only choosing 10 records,” the producer reportedly said. “They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now.”

While there’s no official word on when her highly-anticipated follow up to ANTI will drop, Rihanna is certainly keeping busy. She recently announced she is working with LVMH on an exclusive fashion house, Fenty, expanding her brand as a beauty and fashion entrepreneur.

Arrest Warrant Issued On Mother Of Nipsey Hussle's Daughter Amid Custody Case

An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for Tanisha Foster, the mother of Nipsey Hussle's daughter, TMZ reports. The warrant was filed after Foster failed to appear in court for a DUI case.

Tanisha Foster was reportedly busted for DUI in Los Angeles a few years ago. She pled no contest to one of the charges and was sentenced to three years probation. Foster skipped out on her court date on May 15, however, which resulted in her probation being revoked and a bench warrant for her arrest being issued.

The arrest warrant was issued in the middle of Foster's battle for custody of her and Nipsey Hussle's daughter, 10-year-old Emani. Nip's sister, Samantha Smith reportedly filed for guardianship of her niece following the rapper's untimely death. Smith and the rest of Nip's family claim Foster is not a stable parent.

Both parties appeared in court last Tuesday (May 14). Foster reportedly broke down in tears after seeing her daughter for the first time in months. A judge reportedly cleared the courtroom and gave the mom and daughter 20 minutes together. A judge has yet to rule on the custody of Emani.

Report: DaBaby's Crew Allegedly Beat Stoughton Rapper Into Coma

DaBaby was forced to bail on his headlining concert at a nightclub in Lawrence, Massachusetts after his crew and another artist got into a brutal altercation.

The incident reportedly took place last Friday (May 17) at the Centro Nightclub. According to TMZ, it all started when local rapper Don Trag approached DaBaby for a photo and was turned down. Trag was reportedly on the concert bill for the night. Despite the rejection, the Trag persisted. Some witnesses said he put his hands on DaBaby's security first. In response, DaBaby's team swarmed Trag and began beating him up, Derek Lamire, the associate promoting the event for NTS Entertainment told TMZ.

In video obtained by the celebrity site, DaBaby appears to be looking on while Trag gets pummeled by his security. After the beating, the victim was reportedly taken to the hospital on a stretcher. A police spokesperson confirmed that cops responded to the scene early Saturday morning (May 18), but were unable to get witnesses to cooperate.

According to the Trag's mother, the artist returned to the hospital after passing out at her home. She said he is now in a coma fighting for his life. The victim's brother also told TMZ that Trag has significant brain and neck swelling and "is not doing well." Trag's family has reportedly contacted a lawyer about the incident.

It's unclear if DaBaby or his team will be charged in the incident.
