The one-of-a-kind Barbie, which went on sale at 10 a.m. today, is created to DuVernay’s likeness, sporting her dreaded hairstyle and all black everything, and propped with a directing chair. While little girls everywhere are getting a nice present to fill their stockings, Ava’s Barbie is not only benefitting children. All proceeds from her Barbie will be donated to Color of Change and Witness, two organizations that draw attention to issues and topics within the minority community through film and technology.

The #AvaBarbie is apparently selling like hotcakes. So good luck getting yours.
