It looks like we might see Beyonce on the silver screen in the near future. The international artist reportedly solidified her role in actor Bradley Cooper's directorial debut, A Star Is Born, Page Six reports.
The aforementioned reel will be a remake of the 1937 movie directed by William A. Wellman and Jack Conway. The synopsis details the acclaim of a burgeoning actress who finds herself in Hollywood and coincidentally receives guidance from a seasoned movie star. There's no word on who else will be featured in the motion picture, but Queen Bey might assume the role of that rising actress. A Star Is Born has also received several adaptations, appearing in theaters in 1954 with Judy Garland, and 1976 with Barbara Streisand.
News of the "Flawless" singer appearing in the film stems back to 2011 when her name was first mentioned. Now, it looks like the Houston native will be able to add another on-screen feature to her filmography. Bey's acting resume includes Cadillac Records, Obsessed, The Fighting Temptations, and the award-winning Dreamgirls.
Reports also state that the highly-decorated artist is taking acting lessons in New York City and Los Angeles, but details are still forthcoming on her possible role.
