Chance The Rapper Calls Out ‘Chi-Raq’ For Being Problematic

Chance The Rapper is taking it upon himself to speak up for the people of Chicago as the film Chi-Raq hits theaters Friday (Dec. 4) and he’s not with it at all. The Chi-Town native went straight to Twitter to say just what he thought about the latest Spike Lee production.

The “Juice” rapper went on the record to say that the film is “exploitive” and “problematic” as well as saying that the people of the Windy City are not supporting it whatsoever. And no, he didn’t stop there as he went on to call out the way women are depicted throughout the storyline which he expressed as offensive to the mothers who have actually lost children in the threatening city.
