Knicks Forward Cleanthony Early Shot And Robbed Near NYC Strip Club


New York Knicks forward Cleanthony Early was attacked after leaving the CityScapes strip club in Queens, NY on Wednesday morning (Dec. 30). The NBA player was near the 58th Street attraction in Maspeth when he was shot in the leg and robbed by six people wearing ski masks. He was also robbed for his jewelry, including a gold chain and gold caps on his teeth, according to the New York Daily News.

The incident happened at around 4:15 a.m. when Early was taking an Uber from the club, according to police reports. He was surrounded by three cars approximately one mile away from CityScapes when he was shot in the knee and robbed. He was taken to the nearby Elmhurst Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition. The 24-year-old basketball player and employees at the strip club did not give any comment on the attack.

Early is a second-year player on the Knicks, who has also played for their D-League subset, the Westchester Knicks. He was with a woman at the time of the shooting, but she was not hurt, WABC-TV reports.
