George Zimmerman's Twitter Account Was Suspended For Allegedly Exploiting His Ex-Girlfriend
George Zimmerman's Twitter account was suspended after posting semi-nude photos of his ex-girlfriend and her personal contact information.
George Zimmerman's Twitter account was suspended Thursday (December 3) after he posted semi-nude photos of his ex-girlfriend along with her phone number and email address.
The Tweets, which along with Zimmerman's entire account, have since been removed from the social media site, accused the ex of "sleeping with a dirty Muslim" and stealing from him.
A spokesman for Twitter spoke with The Washington Post stating they don't comment on personal accounts citing privacy and security reasons, but made sure to highlight the company's policy banning the posting of confidential information, which specifically prohibits the posting of “non-public, personal phone numbers,” “non-public, personal email addresses” and “intimate photos or videos that were taken or distributed without the subject’s consent.”
In July 2013, Zimmerman was found not guilty in the shooting death of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has remained at the center of controversy by making claims the shooting of Martin was "divine order" and painting Confederate Battle Flags as a means of revenue.
