Sneak Peek: Rev Run & Family Take On Mexico and Jamaica In New Travel Show
The MC of Run-D.M.C. and his family will star in a new show on the Travel Channel.
Rev Run is ready to take the world by storm- literally. The legendary Run-D.M.C frontman is back on our TV screens for his latest lifestyle show, Rev Runs Around the World, which premieres Wednesday, Dec. 2 on the Travel Channel at 10 and 10:30 p.m.
Throughout the course of the series, the quartet of Rev, wife Justine and his two youngest children, Russy and Miley, will hit up 16 countries without any itineraries. The countries include Dubai, Istanbul, Geneva, Reykjavik, Copenhagen and Rio de Janeiro. The two-part debut will highlight the Queens M.C.’s trips to Kingston, Jamaica and Mexico City, where he and his family will learn about different cultures, try authentic cuisine and explore new terrain such as Jamaica’s Boardwalk Beach and the Mercado de Ciudadela in Mexico City.
“Shooting ‘Rev Runs Around the World’ with my family was one of the best experiences of my life,” said the Simmons’ family patriarch. “Justine, Russy and Miley dragged me along on their adventures – and I wouldn’t trade those experiences with my family for anything. Whether we were riding elephants in Thailand or learning how to be ninjas in Tokyo, I’ll cherish those moments forever.”
Rev Run’s latest tele-venture is not his first or last. He and his family found their way into our hearts with his MTV hit, Run’s House. Later came HGTV’s and the DIY Channel's Rev Run’s Renovations and The Cooking Channel's Rev Run’s Sunday Suppers, which he hosts with Justine. Be on the lookout for a relationship talk show that he co-created with Tyrese, slated to appear on Oprah’s network, OWN, in early 2016.
Check out some exclusive clips from tomorrow’s premiere, where Rev shows off his bartering skills in Mexico City, the Simmons clan is dared to eat fish eyes in Jamaica and Rev and Justine try a cup of Joe from a Jamaican coffee plantation. Make sure to keep it locked to the Travel Channel for Rev. Runs Around The World, Wednesdays at 10 and 10:30 p.m.
