Class Is In Session: Snoop Dogg Talks Life Lessons And Finding Peace

Uncle Snoop Dogg sat down with media personality Jen DeLeon to discuss some of his personal proverbs such as finding peace and blocking out negativity.

After the host and the rapper sat and chatted about more “fun” things, they switched gears and got serious for a few minutes about what he hopes his fans can learn from him.

“My message would just be to find peace within yourself,” the Long Beach MC said. “Cause once you find peace within yourself, the energy that you get is usually reflected. And people get that energy off of you. And that’s what I’ve been able to find. From being on the negative energy side as a young artist to a grown man that projects positive and peaceful music. But it still has the energy of the young spirit, so it’s all within the same realm, but it’s just finding yourself and being able to be within yourself and at peace. So, that way you can project peace.”

Snoop, who recently spread the love by delivering turkeys to people in Inglewood, Calif. for Thanksgiving, said that he deals with negativity and adversity by understanding that it comes with the territory when having a high-profile career in such a demanding industry.

“…know that everyone and every time success is involved, there has to be adversity and sacrifices,” he explained. “That’s the part of success that you have to go through. And I was willing to make that challenge and willing to step up to that challenge.” He also gave tips on how to deal with haters and staying sane.

“It’s just a point of knowing your limitations as far as where you’ll go and let people take you out of your frame of who you are.”
