New Voodoo: BJ The Chicago Kid Pays Homage to D’Angelo In The Best Way

BJ The Chicago Kid is still a student of the game — and that’s something that will never change.

As R&B fans celebrate the 16th anniversary of D’Angelo’s “Untitled,” BJ remixed three of his favorite songs from the singer’s seminal Voodoo album.

For a short 3-track EP, Chi-Town’s finest put his spin on “Untitled,” “?Always In My Hair?,” which also includes a mash up of “Dreaming Eyes of Mine,” ?and a fan favorite, “Send It On.”

“His musicality is beyond this world,” said BJ about the project. “I had to celebrate his genius?? ?as? ?he continues to kill the game and make great music. It’s a new year and there’s no better way to start it off than taking it back to where it all began for me. This is real ?soul/?R&B.”
