Chris Brown Is Suing The Woman Who Accused Him Of Assault
Chris Brown isn't taking the latest accusation against him lightly.
Chris Brown is taking legal action against the woman who accused him of assault, Liziane Gutierrez, TMZ reports. Gutierrez reportedly told Las Vegas authorities that she had been punched in the face by the singer while attending a private party at his suite in the Palms Hotel. She claimed that she was caught using her cellphone to take a photo of Brown, and he assaulted her thereafter. In a statement released to VIBE, reps for Brown refuted her claims.
“Ms Gutierrez was escorted out of the private after party at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control,” the statement reads. “Once she was in the hallway, while waiting for Chris Brown’s security to bring out her phone, she had a total meltdown-throwing her purse to the ground and claiming that she “could buy everyone in the hotel”-as witnessed by numerous people waiting to get into the party. The Palms Casino Resort security also saw her wild behavior via hotel security cameras and immediately came up to the hallway to escort her out of the hotel.”
Brown is now filing a defamation lawsuit against Gutierrez. Back in August, a video Gutierrez’s reaction to being denied by Derulo’s entourage was uploaded to TMZ. Outside of the pop singer’s appearance at The Argyle in Hollywood, Gutierrez was captured spewing expletives as Derulo’s Sprinter van pulled off without her. Reps for Brown have pointed to the incident as “a pattern of behavior.”
Brown is expected to file his suit as early as Monday (Jan. 4).
