Meek Mill Donates 60,000 Bottles Of Water To Flint, Michigan
Meek Mill may have had a turbulent end of 2015 due to his feud with Drake, and a shaky start to his 2016 because of his beef with 50 Cent, but the Philadelphia rapper just earned himself a respectable W due to his charitable efforts.
It's reported the Dreams Worth More Than Money artist donated to the Flint Child and Family Health Development Fund, which fights the negative effects of drinking led filled water, as well as donated 60,000 bottles of water to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to help combat the dirty water ravaging the city.
According to reports, the water crisis in Flint, Michigan began two years ago when the state decided to pinch pennies by switching Flint's water supply from Lake Huron, which they paid Detroit for, to the Flint River, which has been notoriously known for its filth. Soon after the switch, which residents complained the water looked dirty and tasted funny. Many attributed the brown water to sewage, but later learned it's actually iron.
Meek's charitable efforts are reportedly being done from the kindness of his heart and not because of his court mandated community service. Pop legend Cher has also donated to the Flint Water Crisis and sent a whopping 180,000 bottles of water to those in need.
Good looks, Meek.
