Natalie Cole, most famously known for her hit song "Unforgettable" featuring her father, died New Year's Day from congestive heart failure.
R&B singer Natalie Cole, daughter of legendary singer Nat King Cole, has died. She was 65 years old.
Cole, who's hit singles include “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" struggled with a variety of health issues in recent years, but is reported to have died in a Los Angeles hospital New Year's Day from congestive heart failure.
Although Nat King Cole died before his daughter launched her solo career, Cole scored her biggest hit in 1991 when she sang a virtual duet "Unforgettable" with her father.
In 2009, Cole received a kidney transplant from an anonymous donor after contracting Hepatitis C from her years of prior drug use.
"It is with heavy hearts that we bring to you all the news of our mother and sister's passing, " a rep for Natalie Cole tells TMZ. "Natalie fought a fierce, courageous battle, dying how she lived..with dignity, strength and honor.
