Ciara & Russell Wilson Were Reportedly Unbothered By ‘Purple Reign’ Commentary


Following the release of Future’s first mixtape of 2016, Purple Reign, his legion of fans took to his son’s mother, Ciara, and her beau Russell Wilson’s media accounts to shower their comments section with “purple umbrella” emojis.

Memes later ensued, primarily following the Seattle Seahawks’ NFC divisional playoff loss against the Charlotte Panthers on Sunday (Jan. 17).

According to E! News per a source, Ciara and Russell just shrugged off the Internet’s commentary, stating the pair thought the “comments and emojis were funny. It really didn’t faze the two of them at all.” The source continued, “Ciara is in the best place in her life now and has no energy or focus on Future. Her only focus is on baby Future and Russell. She knows fans will be fans and stuff like that is expected.”

The ATL rapper and Ciara have had a strained relationship that’s played out on social media a few times. Recently, Future aired out his grievance on Twitter on not being able to see his son. “I been silent for a year & a half..I ran outta patience,” he wrote. “I jus want babyfuture that’s all.”
