Is This Why Cam Newton Walked Out Of His Super Bowl Postgame Press Conference?

It looks like there was a bit more to Cam Newton's Super Bowl postgame conference than met the eye.

The Carolina Panthers fell to the Denver Broncos during Sunday night's (Feb. 7) Super Bowl 50 game. And while there were some reports on what Peyton Manning did right, or what plays failed out on the field, the biggest topic of discussion seemed to be focused on Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton.

Newton made headlines not for the loss, but for his postgame interview, where after a very brief question and answer conference, he walked out of the interview. In some ways, the interview was brutal. Newton is seen surrounded by reporters, asking about what went wrong for the Carolina team and his thoughts on the loss. Newton followed the questions with a number of "no's" and short sentences. When asked about what he did or didn't expect, the quarterback follows, "They just played better than us. I don't know what you want me to say. They made more plays than us and that's what it comes down to. We had our opportunities. We dropped balls, we turned the ball over, gave up sacks, errant passes. That's it. They scored more points than us." The player was shown with his head held down and breathing deeply before making his exit.

Although he isn't required to answer questions, many viewers had a problem with his overall demeanor, saying he acted unprofessionally and unsportsmanlike during the interview. An Internet discussion broke about the interview, including a few controversial comments from ex-NFL player Bill Romanowski saying, "You will never last in the NFL with that attitude. The world doesn’t revolve around you, boy!”

According to Sporting News, it was not just Newton's loss that sent him over the edge. As the Panthers star was participating in his own conference, Broncos quarterback Chris Harris was reportedly in close quarters talking to reporters as well. Giving insight into his team's strategy against the Carolina team, Harris said: "Load the box, force y'all to throw the ball. Can you throw the football? That was the gameplay." That was apparently when Newton had enough.

A Philadelphia Barber Was Told He Couldn't Give Free Haircuts To The Homeless

In 2017, Brennon Jones made headlines with a thoughtful act of kindness. The Philadelphia native began giving the city's homeless people free haircuts. The loving act merited praise online, from Mayor Jim Kenney, and Philadelphia's City Hall which granted him permission to set up provisional barbershops on the street.

However, on April 14 of this year Jones, now 30, says he was approached by an officer who demanded he "shut down immediately" without any justification. Jones refused.

"I told him I wouldn’t shut down until I got more information,” Jones said. “The whole initiative is built around the homeless. I don’t just give them haircuts — I feed them, I clothe them and provide them with toiletries as well.”

A cellphone recording of the encounter has since gone viral and been viewed more than 700,000 times.

The officer eventually continued on but left Jones rattled. “I was a little fearful,” he tells PEOPLE. “At the time … I was cutting my fifth person.”

A statement from the Philadelphia police alleges residents in the area complained about the leftover hair. The cops say Jones wasn't told to shut down but to simply move “due to complaints from businesses about loose hair on the street.”

Jones doesn't buy it and insists he has someone with him to clean up the hair after he's done with his haircut.

“I feel as though that may have just been their excuse to clear their name,” the barber says. “[The officer] didn’t say they’d receive any complaints, he didn’t say there was hair blowing, he just said, ‘You have to shut down immediately.’ ”

Jones has been cutting hair for a while and reportedly works from 11 AM to sunset and can be found between 8th and Market. Despite the unsettling interaction with the cops, Jones says he won't stop.

“Issues come and go. It may be the cops one day. It may be somebody else the next day,” Jones says. “I won’t let it discourage me in any way … I’m just focused on providing a service for the less fortunate.”

G-Herbo Arrested In Atlanta On Battery Charge

According to the Atlanta Police Department, G Herbo was arrested Wednesday, (April 17.) The rapper was booked with a simple battery charge and has yet to be released. The circumstances surrounding the arrest have yet to be revealed to the public, however, an Instagram video from six days ago shows what appears to be the Chicago native being physically attacked by his ex-girlfriend Ariana Fletcher.

The video may originate from the night of Herbo and Fletcher's son's birthday party, which the two celebrated together. Videos from the celebration showed the two seemingly getting along and throwing cake in each other's faces.

This is not Herbo's first run-in with the law. In February of 2018, his limousine driver reported Herbo and a few of his friends to the police for carrying handguns. All three were arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Herbo nor his representatives have spoken out in regards to his Wednesday arrest.

More updates to follow.
