Raven-Symone Says She Will Move To Canada If "Any Republican Candidate Gets Nominated"
Today in opinions by Raven-Symone, the host of The View offered a “confession” about her thoughts on the 2016 presidential race. As Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are shaping up to be frontrunners for the Republican and Democrat parties, Ravenn shared that she has a emigration plan if a Republican “gets nominated” as a presidential candidate. Letting Whoopi Goldberg and the rest of her co-host’s in on her big secret, Raven announced plans to move to Canada.
“My confession for this election is, if any Republican gets nominated, I’m gonna move to Canada with my entire family. Is that bad? I already have my ticket. I literally bought my ticket, I swear.”
While no one asked for clarification on Raven’s sentiments–namely, whether or not she meant to say “elected” instead of “nominated”– Joy Behar did at least point out that Raven does not have Canadian citizenship. The former Disney Channel actress was still adamant, however, noting that she would figure things out along the way.
“It’s okay, I’ll make it. I’ll figure that out. I’ll do some type of job, we’ll figure that out.”
The View also discussed recent poll data that suggests that Trump’s supporters are among the nation’s most intolerant; with poll respondees offering prejudiced views on slavery, World War II and the Confederate flag. Watch Raven-Symone and rest of the host’s commentary below:
