#GalaxyLife: Thanks To Samsung, The 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend Was A Lit Situation


Samsung brought the ultimate fan experience to Galaxy and basketball fans at the 2016 NBA All-Star weekend. Held near the NBA Centre Court at Toronto’s own Enercare Centre, the global mobile brand lit up the gymnasium with its own activity hotspot, The Samsung Experience, displaying some of their latest devices. Attendees were given the opportunity to experience a full range of product innovations like the Gear S2, Gear VR, and Note5.

In between surprise visits from celebrities like comedian and Vine star King Bach, NBA stars Kevin Durant and former NFL althlete Terrell Owens, attendees took part in 3-point contests, fan Q&As, player signings and more throughout the jam-packed 3-day weekend.

On the final night (February 14), Samsung brought the party. Guest hosted by Growing Up Hip-Hop’s Angela Simmons and television host Terrence J, New York City’s own A$AP Ferg hit the stage to surprised attendees with a high-energy performance. With his next studio album Always Strive and Prosper in the works, Ferg turned up the crowd with songs like “Shabba,” “Work” and “New Level” (featuring Future).

From Feb. 12 to 14, NBA Centre Court at Enercare Centre celebrated the game of basketball and engaged fans of all ages by offering activities, skills competitions and programming on more than 40 courts and baskets. Basketball aficionados looking to take their game to the next level can attend all-day, hands-on instructional clinics conducted by current and former NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League players, engage with NBA mascots, dance teams and dunk squads, and pick up merchandise at the NBA All-Star Shop.
