Is Ben Carson Dropping Out Of The Presidential Race?
Ben Carson, who was once a formidable opponent against Donald Trump, said Wednesday (March 2) he saw "no path forward" and would skip a debate Thursday in Detroit, which many believe to be a signal towards the end of his run for the White House.
Carson told reporters he would give more details about the future of his campaign on Friday, but with a poor showing during Super Tuesday's primaries, many surize this is the end of the road for the former brain surgeon.
“I do not see a political path forward in light of last evening’s Super Tuesday primary results,” Mr. Carson said in a statement. “However, this grass-roots movement on behalf of ‘We the People’ will continue.”
The GOP hopeful opted for a more demure attitude against Trump's loud demeanor, yet still made headlines. Last October he told reporters he was held at gunpoint in a Popeyes restaurant and refuted Trump's claim he was "super low energy" by admitting he almost stabbed someone. To gain the young vote, he released a 60-second rap ad in November, which unfortunately didn't go too well for many.
Ah Ben Carson. We're going to miss him.
