Carmelo Anthony Remains Uncertain About His Future Role With The New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have struggled tremendously this year, but orange and blue fans have kept their faith strong in their Big Apple team despite each season's disappointment.
But one pivotal Knicks player might throw the towel in next season. After a practice run on Friday afternoon (March 18), Carmelo Anthony remained uncertain on his stance with the Knicks, the New York Daily News reports. "Sh*t, I don't know. I honestly...it's hard to answer those types of questions when you don't know what's going to happen," he said. "We still have a month left to the season. To be thinking, 'Am I going to be on this team next season?' That's for you to speculate. I don't know what's going to happen this summer. I can't predict that."
Anthony also met with the team's owner Phil Jackson to outline a concrete plan for making the Knicks an organization to be reckoned with during the regular season. “It’s on the front office to do their jobs for what they see fit for this team, what this team needs, what this team don’t need," Anthony said. "It’s up to them.”
The Knicks currently stand with a record of 28-41 after falling to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday (March 16) 85-121.
