Fat Joe & Remy Ma Use ‘Narcos’ As Inspiration For Their New Album

Terror Squad duo Fat Joe and Remy Ma are planning to make a comeback with a new joint album. The “Lean Back” rapper today opens up rather hesitantly about christening the album Platas o Plomo (“silver or lead”), after the now-infamous catchphrase by Pablo Escobar in the Netflix hit series Narcos.

“So the title of the album is Platas o Plomo,” Joey said on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s “Drink Champs” podcast. “Money or bullets, you know what I’m sayin’?”  Pablo Escobar would be proud.

Along with the help of Miami producer Edsclusive, Joey said he produced his half of the album in Miami then flew up to New York City to complete the rest with Remy. Her husband Papoose and other well-respected New York emcees like South Bronx native Fred The Godson joined in on Joey Crack and Remy Martin’s reunion in the studio as they completed their independent LP.
